At Columbia Academy, a private K-12 school in downtown Vancouver, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our wide range of extracurricular activities provides students with opportunities to explore their passions, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships. Here are 10 fun extracurricular activities that make Columbia Academy a vibrant and engaging place to learn and grow:

  1. After-School Program (K-7)

Columbia Academy offers parents the opportunity to sign their children up for our after-school program that offers our primary students different activities each day of the week. We learn through play and build relationships through engaging activities that stimulate and inspire.

From singing and performing music to unique talents like unicycle riding, students can participate in talent shows, fostering creativity and confidence on stage while showcasing their special abilities to their peers and parents.

  1. Math Competition Club

Talented and passionate budding mathematicians can join our Math Competition Club to prepare for competitive math events including the Canadian Math Open and the Lynx Challenge.

  1. Guitar Club

In addition to the music classes that are part of the regular curriculum here at Columbia Academy, we offer a Guitar Club after school for those students interested in pursuing the development of their guitar skills.

  1. Volunteering

From local organizations to community events, festivals, and celebrations, our students engage in volunteer activities that  promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and service to the community.
