How to Apply to Columbia Academy
Step 1: Submit the Application
The application includes:
- Report cards from the previous two years
- Completed application form
- Non-refundable application fee:
- $200 for Domestic students
- $300 for International students
Step 2: Interview
The prospective student and their family is required to attend an in-person interview with the Principal.
For international applicants, interviews can be conducted online.
Step 3: Acceptance
If both the Principal and the prospective student’s family feel that
Columbia Academy Elementary is a good fit for the student’s learning needs, the school will proceed with enrollment.
A tuition invoice will be issued, and official acceptance will be confirmed upon receipt of tuition payment. The school will also request the necessary enrollment documents, which must be completed and returned to finalize the student’s enrollment.
Applying as an International Student
We recommend that international families begin the study permit application process 3–4 months in advance.
Immigration Canada typically requires the following documents:
- Letter of Acceptance – Official confirmation of enrollment from Columbia Academy
- Tuition Fee Receipt – Proof of tuition payment
- Notarized Custodianship Letter – If required, confirming appropriate care arrangements
- Country-specific documents – Additional documentation as required by Immigration Canada
We advise international students to arrive one week prior to the start of the school year or term. This allows time to purchase the school uniform and adjust to the new city and culture.
Families are encouraged to consult local visa experts or immigration authorities for detailed requirements specific to their country.
