In addition to offering AP courses, Columbia Academy is an authorized AP Exam Center and administers selected AP Exams in accordance with College Board requirements.

Our High School campus is conveniently located one block from Waterfront Station, with easy access by SkyTrain, Canada Line, SeaBus, and other public transportation.

Columbia Academy & External Students

AP Exam seats are reserved first for Columbia Academy students enrolled in our AP courses.

We also welcome eligible external students from other schools to register for selected AP Exams when seats are available.

Exam subjects and seat availability may vary each year.

How to Register for an AP Exam

Step 1 – Apply to Columbia Academy

Complete the AP Exam Application Form.
Pay the AP Exam fee of $350 per exam by e-transfer to info@ColumbiaAcademy.ca.
Email the following to admissions@columbiaacademy.ca:
- Completed AP Exam Application Form
- Proof of payment
- Copy of the student’s valid government-issued photo ID
Once your application and payment have been processed, Columbia Academy will send a confirmation email and JOIN CODE for each registered AP Exam.

Registration Deadline; TBA

Registration is subject to seat availability. Students are encouraged to register as early as possible.

Step 2 – Complete College Board Registration

Every student must have their own College Board/My AP account.

After receiving your JOIN CODE from Columbia Academy:

Log in to your College Board/My AP account.
Enter the JOIN CODE for each AP Exam.
Confirm that the correct AP Exam appears in your account.

IMPORTANT

Receiving a JOIN CODE from Columbia Academy does not by itself complete your AP Exam registration.

Your exam seat is secured only after:

Columbia Academy has received your application, required ID, and payment; AND
You have successfully entered the JOIN CODE into your College Board/My AP account.

AP Exam Day

All exams are held at:

Columbia Academy High School
602 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC

Students must:

Arrive at least 15 minutes before the required check-in time
Bring valid government-issued photo identification
Bring the Columbia Academy confirmation email containing the JOIN CODE
Bring all materials required or permitted by College Board
Follow all College Board AP Exam policies and procedures

Phones, smartwatches, and other unauthorized electronic devices may not be used during the exam.

Late Arrival

Students who arrive after the AP Exam has started may not be admitted.

Please plan your transportation carefully and allow sufficient time for unexpected delays.

AP Exam Refund Policy

AP Exam fees are non-refundable, except when Columbia Academy is unable to provide an exam seat after payment has been received.

Refunds will not be provided for:

Missing the exam
Arriving late
Changing your mind after registration
Failing to enter the JOIN CODE
Failing to complete College Board registration
Failure to bring required identification or permitted materials
Personal scheduling conflicts

If Columbia Academy confirms that an exam seat is unavailable, please submit your refund request to:

admissions@columbiaacademy.ca

Eligible refunds will normally be processed within two weeks.
