All international students must have medical insurance while they are studying in Canada.
For the first three months in Canada, a student will need to have medical insurance from his home country or, alternatively, the school can help him purchase private medical insurance in BC. After three months in British Columbia, a student may purchase medical insurance from the B.C. Medical Services Plan. For details, please visit BC MSP. Students with no medical insurance or invalid coverage will not be allowed to attend class.
Although Columbia Academy takes every precaution to keep its students safe, some school activities carry a small degree of risk. Before a student participates in such a school activity, the parent or guardian must agree to be responsible for any injury that results. In addition, Columbia Academy is not responsible for any loss or injury by the student while he travels to or from the school.
