Columbia Academy, founded in 2014 and situated in downtown Vancouver, is esteemed for its dedication to academic excellence and holistic student development. Accredited by the BC Ministry of Education, our K-12 program prioritizes volunteering, charitable initiatives, clubs, and competitions. Within our supportive environment, we empower students to confront challenges with resilience and empathy, facilitating their academic, social, and emotional success.

In the past, 100% of our students have been accepted by universities, and 90% have been accepted by top universities worldwide.

Our aim is to provide an immersive and engaging learning experience that prepares students for future success. Enabling a stronger and earlier start for our students will better equip them to achieve higher and more ambitious goals.

Students have morning reading time every day, along with nightly reading assignments to cultivate children’s reading habits.

Music and Arts Education

At our elementary school, we value students’ music and arts education and provide them with a diverse range of music courses and facilities:

  • Variety of Instrument Learning:Each student learns at least 3-4 different instruments, including the recorder, ukulele, guitar, and piano, among others. The school is equipped with professional music classrooms and grand pianos, offering students a high-quality learning environment and equipment.
  • Vocal Training and Choir:The school has professional music teachers who guide students in learning various instruments and vocals. We also organize choirs to cultivate students’ musical talents and expressive abilities.

Charity Activities

At our school, we encourage students to actively participate in charity activities:

  • Charity Sale Event:The school often organizes large-scale charity sale events in the square in front of the school to raise funds for various local charity organizations.
  • Material Donations:We regularly encourage students to donate books, clothing, and toys to local charity organizations, supporting those in need within the community.
  • Food Drive:The school organizes students to collect food for local charity organizations, such as the Food Bank.

 

Through these charity activities, our students learn to show care for others, be willing to help, and actively engage in community service. We are dedicated to nurturing our students’ sense of social responsibility and awareness of public welfare, aiming to foster them into compassionate and responsible members of society.

After School Clubs
